Clinic Based Occupational Rehabilitation

What is Clinic Based Occupational Rehabilitation?

Clinic based occupational rehabilitation is a step to assist an injured worker in returning to work.  Sometimes a worker may not be able to perform duties that would allow them to return to work.  Clinic based occupational rehabilitation assists the worker in developing strength and endurance by performing both generalized strengthening activities as well as work simulation in a structured and safe environment.  During this process proper body mechanics are taught and emphasized to ensure safety once the worker returns to work.

During the initial assessment your current level of function will be objectively measured and compared to the demands of your employment.  After this an individualized exercise program will be developed with you based on your current level of function and where you need to be in order to return to work.
