Massage Therapy is a form of rehabilitation that involves the manipulation of muscles and other soft tissues in order to promote health, relaxation, and relieve pain. Massage Therapists are regulated health care professionals and are trained in anatomy and massage techniques to assist in their client's recovery.
Why should I see a massage therapist?
Treatment by a registered massage therapist can affect the soft tissues and the circulatory system of the body as well as promote a general sense of well-being and ease pain. It can be quite beneficial for many injuries and medical conditions.
What will occur during my treatment?
During your initial assessment you will be asked to read a Clinic Information Sheet and complete a Client Information Form. The clinic information sheet will provide you with basic information regarding your assessment and treatment and the information form will provide us with such information as your address, telephone number and general health.
Your therapist will then assess you in a private treatment room and in conjunction with you develop a treatment plan. You may be required to disrobe but your privacy will at all times be respected. If at any time you are uncomfortable with your treatment you must tell your therapist.
